If you’ve read my Face Masks Series, you know that I am a skincare products hoarder! I do have a very streamlined routine, but I always keep reading about how I can do things better. Better products, better tools, better techniques et al. And I don’t know if anyone else does this, but I go to the Sephora website every time I want to relax. Because looking into products and reading reviews is a stress buster. Major face palming definitely allowed at this point!!
Little Tip: The Sephora VIB sale is in April and there’s generally a discount of 15 – 20% on all products. So I am trying my best to hold myself back and buy the super expensive ones on my wishlist during the sale!
- Foreo Luna 2 for Combination Skin
What is it? – A facial cleansing tool
Why? – I have been using the Body Shop Facial brush for way too long and I know that it is not the most hygienic way of exfoliating my skin no matter how well I clean it. The Foreo Luna 2 has silicone touch points and every blog I have read raves about how it is better than the Clarisonic, which again has a brush head. I need a better tool to cleanse my face.
Price Point – CAD 229
2. Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask
What is it? – A super raved about mask for achieving an even skin tone.
Why? – Because I like trying out new face masks. Tata Harper is a great brand and I’ve been eyeing their products ever since I tried a sample of one of their products. Anything that says resurfacing needs to be in my stash of skin rescue!
Price Point – CAD 77 for 1 oz/30 mL
3. Bite Beauty – Everyday Agave Lip Collection
What is it? – A collection of lip rescue products. Scrub + Balm + Mask. All for lips.
Why? – Because I live in Canada. It gets very cold and my lips need all the TLC they can get! Also, because their lab is right here in Toronto. And I support all things Canadian!
Price Point – Lip Mask – CAD 30 for 0.52oz/15 g
Lip Scrub – CAD 20 for 0.26oz/7.39 g
Lip Balm – CAD 20 for 0.15oz/4.20 g
Buy – Available exclusively at Sephora in stores or online here.
5. Sunday Riley – Juno Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil
What is it? – A combination of cold pressed Blueberry, Cranberry, Red Raspberry and Broccoli seed oils. Rich in anti oxidants.
Why? – Radiance Boosting oil. Sunday Riley. That’s enough for me!!
Price Point – CAD 112 for 1.18oz/35mL | CAD 54 for 0.5oz/15mL
Buy – At Sephora in stores or online here.
6. Tatcha – The Essence Plumping Skin Softener
What is it? – An essence that claims to be an essence containing anti ageing Japanese super foods.
Why? – I have watched the ‘How to use it’ video and the water like consistency of the product intrigues me. Also, Tatcha as a brand is based on the Geisha beauty rituals. Very interesting! Also, who doesn’t want to have Geisha like skin yo?!!
Price Point – CAD 114 for 5.1oz/150mL
Buy – Available online in Sephora here (my Sephora at Toronto Eaton Center doesn’t carry this one in store; the sales associate I talked to didn’t know about the brand. I had to spell it out to her. I can’t even. **shaking head**). Available on Tatcha’s website here.
